It's possible to reach the plateau where Uldum will be in Cataclysm.

Just to the north of Talon Den (30.2, 12.8), you will find a narrow crag leading up toward the top of the hills.

Once you reach a certain point, slide left up the hill, then jump to the right over the gap.

At the top, you can descend toward the ocean. There are some ruins, along with a cave half-buried in the lake.

There is a Tauren Settlement outside of the coastline, just on the southwestern tip of Silithus.

The Approach

Swim or water walk south from Feralas.

The Settlement

It's deserted, but the structures are distinctively tauren. There's a nearby cave as well

There is at troll village which can be seen when overflying Darkshore. It is the home of the Shatterspear Troll tribe. Aside from a handful of named NPCs, Shatterspear Trolls can be found here in quantity.

The valley is a one-way trip; you need a mage portal, summon, or hearthstone to get out.

The Approach

The village can be reached from Winterspring. From Everlook, ride west to the mountains, then go to 28.2, 48.9.

South Seas Islands are a pair of islands off the coast of Tanaris, with a goblin rig between them. They can be reached via water walking (to avoid death from Fatigue) by traveling south along the coast from the Caverns of Time. They are a destination in the quest line for the AQ scepter.
